I dream of Jeannie

The Genie's caught up with life and is hanging out more with other Genies, leaving the astronauts to ponder if they'll ever hear from her again.

Gender reversals

A recent study has shown more women excelling in University than men. The question was raised if the switch in the education system in the UK from O Levels to GCSE’s has led us to this rise.

Although there was wide spread criticism that the GCSE's were a dumbing down of the O Levels, it does not really mean that women were suddenly given the advantage.

I think throughout the years, women were traditionally always seen as second to men and most high level positions and high paying salaries were landed by men. This has created a will for women to prove men wrong. Women usually have to work twice as hard to prove successful and still women are sometimes deemed a liability due to their ability to get pregnant.

However I do believe that this rise of power and influence in women has impacted negatively on some men. Now it is not uncommon to read about men who are more in touch with themselves, so much so as they seem insecure about themselves. All this while women prayed hard that men will eventually come to terms and understand women better, but now when men have finally become more 'metropolitan', women just wish that they could have the old fashioned man back.

But why of course, the old fashioned traditional man was so much easier to control, weren't they?
